About

Binjamin Hiseni is a young filmmaker from Hamburg who studied directing and concept development at the Medien Akademie in Hamburg. Through his extensive experience in the film industry, particularly as an assistant director, he has gained a deep understanding of the film and television production processes and further developed his passion for storytelling.

His work is strongly influenced by his immigration background and the cultural nuances that come with it. This unique perspective allows him to tell deeply moving and meaningful stories. In his short films, Binjamin explores the complexities of identity and belonging, often offering political and social commentary, as seen in his latest short film "Fick doch diesen K*naken/Fuck this immigrant", which critiques the different standards by which human suffering is measured in the West.

By working with industry experts and artists such as David Uzochukwu and Benjamin Teske, Binjamin has broadened his horizons and learned how to tell stories that provoke thought and encourage dialogue.
